TEMPEST - [SHINING UP] LP Limited Edition
In March, TEMPEST announced a successful leap forward by coming together as one "WE" from seven "MEs" in their debut album [It's ME, It's WE]. About five months later, the group returns to their fans with their second mini album [SHINING UP]. With a solid determination to sweep the music industry like a fierce storm, TEMPEST showed their potential as a 4th generation K-pop rookie by selling over 75,000 copies in the first week of their debut with the title track "Bad News" and becoming a candidate for the first place on music broadcasts in just six days.
TEMPEST's second mini album [SHINING UP], which sings of summer love and hope, has the theme of an unchanging "light" over time and contains the never-ending energy and emotions of sparkling youth. The album includes four tracks, and member Hwarang once again drew attention by participating in the lyrics of both the title track and the other tracks following the debut album. Unlike their debut album, which showed raw energy and charisma, this album is expected to showcase TEMPEST's unique color and concept by revealing their "boyish" and "mature" sides.
The lead melodic sound of the title track, "Can't Stop Shining," is an upbeat dance-pop song that captures the passion and freshness of boys who have just stepped into the world. Through lyrics such as "When we say three, run until we're out of breath / Come and hold my hand now" and "Like an irresistible sun / Keep on burning endlessly / Just can't stop shining," the song expresses a hopeful future for both the individual and the collective.
Moreover, the mini album [SHINING UP] has raised its musical completeness by bringing together a variety of tracks that showcase TEMPEST's youthful and rough energy on strong beats with "Young & Wild," expresses a boy running towards love in "One Day," and a funky sound with an attractive groove in "START UP."
In just six months after their debut, TEMPEST has acquired various nicknames such as "4th Generation Hottem," "Performance Doll," and "The Home of B-Sides." They will prove their position as "TEMPEST to trust and listen to" through their second mini album [SHINING UP], which will capture the attention of global K-pop fans with their clear visual, sensuous sound, and powerful performance.
